Kupu-lympics
Kupugani Olympics is special event during camp, with the girls divided into two teams with the fun spirit the rule of a beautiful day. Good sportsmanship is the main goal of Olympics with competitiveness taking a back seat. The highlight of the event was the slip and slide where the girls could slide along a tarp covered in the secret ingredients to make the slipperiest slide possible (okay, secret’s out…it’s baby oil, liquid soap, and water).
Mud volleyball tug-of-war, was, as expected, a big hit. The “canoe sink” was also very entertaining, with the campers racing to see which team could fill a counselor-occupied canoe full of water first to sink it. Both teams successfully sunk the canoes and soaked the smiling counselors.
Tonight, our senior cabins enjoyed a “nightivity” making and eating banana boats. Sadly, there was none left for the office staff who were tirelessly working away in the office…maybe next time.
And so ends another great day at Kupugani!
